Frequently asked questions
Do I need a 200-amp service for a heat pump and an EV charger?
Not always. Many homes can add both with a load management system instead of a full service upgrade. The load calculation tells you which applies to your property.
What is an EVEMS?
An electric vehicle energy management system. It watches your building’s load and slows or pauses the EV charger when other big loads are running, so you stay within your service capacity.
Can you do this from photos?
We can give you a first answer from photos and usage data. We confirm on site before any work.
Are there rebates?
Programs such as CleanBC have offered rebates for heat pumps and some electrical upgrades. Rules change, so confirm with the program before you buy.
