EV Charger Installation Kelowna

EV Charger Installers in Kelowna
Pfitztech Electrical & Data supplies and installs Level-2 EV chargers across Kelowna and the Central Okanagan — charger, dedicated circuit, permit, and BC Hydro rebate paperwork, handled as one package. Licensed, insured, and Technical Safety BC permitted on every job.

Charger + installation packages

Most homeowners want one number, not an electrician invoice plus a box from Amazon. We quote the complete package: a quality Level-2 charger (hardwired or plug-in), the dedicated 240 V circuit, breaker, permit and inspection.
  • Standard install — panel has capacity, charger near the panel: most projects land in the $1,800–$2,800 range including a quality Level-2 charger.
  • Extended install — longer wire runs, detached garage, or trenching: typically $2,800–$4,500 all-in.
  • Full panel — if your 100 A panel is near capacity we’ll quote a load-management device (often far cheaper than a service upgrade) or a 200 A upgrade where it makes sense.
Ranges are indicative — you get a firm, upfront price before any work starts, usually from a few photos of your panel and parking spot.

Up to $550 back from BC Hydro

BC Hydro’s home charging rebate covers up to $350 toward the charger and $200 toward installation for eligible homes. We supply rebate-eligible chargers and hand you the paperwork ready to submit. Details in our guide: EV charger rebates in Kelowna.

Why the charger should come from your electrician

A charger is only as good as the circuit behind it. We size the circuit to the charger’s real draw, check your panel’s capacity with a proper load calculation, and install to code with permit and inspection — so your insurance is clean and the warranty holds. Buy-online-and-hope skips all of that.

How booking works — you don’t need to know how long it takes

Describe the job and send a couple of photos; we size the work and reserve the right time block — you never have to guess hours. We’ll confirm your booking and price, usually the same business day.

EV charger questions we hear most

How much does EV charger installation cost in Kelowna?

Complete packages — charger, circuit, permit and inspection — typically run $1,800–$2,800 for a standard install, more for long runs or detached garages. You get a firm price upfront, often from photos alone.

Can my 100 amp panel handle an EV charger?

Often yes, with a load calculation to prove it — and where it can’t, a load-management device usually solves it for far less than a panel upgrade. We check before you buy anything.

Which Level-2 charger should I buy?

We supply rebate-eligible chargers matched to your vehicle and panel capacity, hardwired or plug-in. Bundling the charger with the install means one warranty, one price, and no compatibility surprises.

Is there a rebate for home EV chargers in BC?

Yes — BC Hydro offers up to $350 toward an eligible charger and $200 toward installation. We handle the paperwork as part of every install package.
