Edge Watch keeps an eye on the systems we build and install — power, security, the data uplink and the equipment itself — around the clock. A small AI runs on your own hardware, so camera, sensor and network data is analysed on site instead of in someone else’s cloud. When something goes wrong, we troubleshoot it remotely first and send a technician when it needs hands.
What Edge Watch monitors
- Power. Utility supply, UPS runtime and battery health, circuit loads, surge events, and generator or transfer-switch status where fitted.
- Security. Door access, cameras online and recording, tamper sensors and after-hours activity on the equipment we install.
- Data uplink. Internet up or down, speed and latency, failover to a backup link, and firewall and gateway health.
- Environment. Temperature, humidity, water leaks, and smoke or heat detection in the equipment space.
- Equipment. Servers, switches, Wi-Fi, storage and disks, firmware levels, and whether last night’s backup finished.
- Local AI. The on-site AI itself — running, answering and up to date.
Local AI, private by design
Each Edge Watch site runs a small AI on hardware you own. It reads the alerts and sensor data where they happen, spots slow-building problems — an ageing UPS battery, a room creeping warmer every week, an uplink that drops at the same time each night — and explains them in plain language.

- Only health readings and alerts leave the building, over an encrypted, outbound-only connection.
- You can see what is sent, and you can switch remote access off.
24/7 monitoring, tiered response
Automated monitoring and alerting run 24/7, every day of the year. What happens after an alert depends on your plan:
- Standard — alerts are worked during business hours, with after-hours escalation for critical faults such as loss of power, cooling or the uplink.
- Priority — extended-hours coverage and faster escalation to a technician, including on-site attendance where we can reach you.
Most faults are fixed remotely — a hung access point, a camera offline, a stuck update. When a visit is needed, a licensed Pfitztech technician arrives with the diagnosis already done. Response targets are set in your service agreement. How access and remote management work.
Edge Watch watches the health of your systems. It is not a monitored alarm or security-response service: we do not dispatch police or guards.

Does my data leave the site?
Only health readings and alerts. Camera footage, sensor history and your AI’s conversations stay on hardware you own.
Do I need a Pfitztech Edge system?
No. Edge Watch covers Edge systems and the networks, cameras, electrical and smart home systems Pfitztech installs.
What happens when an alert fires at night?
Monitoring never stops. Critical faults such as loss of power, cooling or the uplink are escalated after hours on every plan. Other alerts are worked during your plan’s coverage hours.
Is it an alarm monitoring service?
No. Edge Watch watches system health and flags access and tamper events on the equipment. It does not dispatch police or guards.
